WELCOME TO THE RED BULL AIR RACE AT THE EUROSPEEDWAY LAUSITZ
Located in the eastern part of Germany between Dresden and Berlin the EuroSpeedway Lausitz is one of the most modern test and race courses in Europe which was built on the grounds of a former open cast mine. Opened in August 2000 the track is celebrating its 10th birthday this year. So the Red Bull Air Race which takes place on 7th and 8th August for the first time at this location is a very special kind of present.
The Red Bull Air Race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz is really an exceptional one. It is the first Air Race which is held on a permanent race course. Furthermore it is the only one in the whole series which takes place ashore. Therefore the race airport and the race course are placed on one area and the fans have the unique possibility to experience the pilots and the teams very close the whole time.

GENERAL VISITORS INFORMATION
Banking
Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) are plentiful and readily available 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the cities like Senftenberg or Dresden. But there is no ATM at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. The nearest ATMs can be found in Schipkau (10 minutes away) or Senftenberg (15 minutes away).
Shopping
There are shopping possibilities in Senftenberg, the closest larger city. A bigger range of shops and a better and more exclusive choice is available in the city of Dresden (Altmarktgalerie and Centrumsgalerie in the city centre as well as Elbepark next to highway A4).
Opening hours
In general shops are open between Monday and Saturday. Petrol station stores are an exception. They open seven days a week, some of them 24 hours a day.
Most shops open at 9 or 10 a.m., some bakeries and bookstalls open at 6 a.m.
Pharmacies open at 8 a.m. The bigger stores do not close at noon.
Shop closing-time is generally between 6 and 8 p.m.
Tipping
Basically you do not have to tip because the service is already included, but for most people tipping is an act of courtesy.
Recommendation:
5 – 10% is acceptable in restaurants (Attention: In Germany you do not leave the tip on the table).

EUROSPEEDWAY SPECTATOR INFORMATION
The Red Bull Air Race is a high performance motorsport with the highest safety standards and patrons are asked to note the special arrangements for the race at Eurospeedway which may affect you planning for the day.
Specifically for the Red Bull Air Race, restricted Safety Areas will operate to the rear of the Silber Tribune in the East of the Circuit and in the Dekra area in the West. During flying times no spectator movements will be permitted through the areas either walking or driving. Red Bull Air Race Marshalls will manage these closures throughout the afternoon and movement will be possible in slots between flying.
Red Bull Air Race would recommend that patrons arrive with sufficient time before the race starts on each day to find their area. Additionally it is recommended that you take all that you will need when you enter the venue.
