WELCOME TO WINDSOR, ONTARIO
Known as the “Gateway to Canada” and located across the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit, Windsor is the only place where Canada is south of the United States. Cultural and historical landmarks, groomed gardens or natural areas, gaming, international cuisine, events and festivals galore await!
Known as the “Gateway to Canada”, the city of Windsor is located in Southwestern Ontario within the Essex County. Also know as the City of Roses for the several large parks and gardens found on its waterfront.
Windsor tourist attractions include Caesars Windsor, a lively downtown, Little Italy, the Art Gallery of Windsor, the Odette Sculpture Park, and the Jackson Park - Queen Elizabeth II Gardens. The Ontario Park Association has named it the best lighted park in all of Ontario. The park itself is a whopping 65 acres, but the real gem is this formal rose garden.
The Capital Theatre in downtown Windsor had been a venue for feature films, plays and other attractions since 1929, until it declared bankruptcy in 2007.
The Canadian city hosted one of the most exciting races in the Red Bull Air Race history last year. The 2009 Windsor race also gave an important boost to the economy of Ontario, Canada’s most populous province.
CAESARS WINDSOR - Front and centre for Red Bull Air Races
Caesars Windsor is thrilled to once again be at the heart of all the action for the Red Bull Air Races on June 5 and 6. Located on the Detroit River waterfront, Caesars Windsor boasts spectacular views of these death-defying races, offering gaming excitement, live entertainment, eight restaurants and lounges to choose from and luxury hotel accommodations just steps from the main attraction.
