More than 1,760 virtual pilots entered the first round of the 2017 Virtual World Championship on Red Bull Air Race – 2, the mobile game, to try and win a trip to the season finale, and maybe even a G-flight with an Air Race pilot.

Russian virtual pilot, Konstantin Skiba, was the race winner flying the Abu Dhabi course in just 54.713s. Hot on his heels was BatRosti78, who finished just 0.082s behind. Third in the race was 2016 Virtual World Championship winner Wener Pany, who is back to defend his title, and was just 0.217s behind the winner.

Skiba had to beat some super tough competition to claim his place at the season finale, which will offer six Red Bull Air Race – 2 winners the chance to win a G-Flight in a Red Bull Air Race Challenger Class raceplane.
