With a crowd capacity in excess of 190,000, the Texas Motor Speedway is among the largest sports stadiums in America. Known as 'The Great American Speedway' the 1.5-mile quad-oval superspeedway includes 750-foot radius turns and is banked 24 degrees in places. The Motor Speedway has been used as a stop in the IndyCar Series racing, drawing in sports fans looking to catch high-octane action. Where do I collect my tickets?

Prior to the race weekend tickets are available at the Speedway World Gift Shop and ticket office. Tickets can also be purchased on the day at the box offices at gates 3, 4, and 5.

What about food and drink?

You can purchase food and drinks at the venue, so make sure you bring your wallet! Water is allowed but you cannot bring along your own soft drinks. Coolers are off limits, as is alcohol – just pack light and you'll be good to go!

Can I bring any bags with me?


Sure, as long as your bag or backpack is no larger than 14 x 14 x 14.

Can I get to an ATM at the venue?

Yes, there are several ATMs that you should have access to at the Texas Motor Speedway:

• Sections 112, 401, 413
• Outside Gate 3 and Gate 5 ticket booths
• Gift Shop/Ticket Office Lobby
• SWC 2nd Floor

I'm bringing the kids – anything I need to know?

Children under 12 receive free admission with a maximum of two children per adult. Additional children receive admission for $14/each unreserved and $19/each reserved seating.

It's worth noting that strollers, umbrellas, scooters and roller blades will need to be left outside the grandstand, so make sure you're prepared – sunscreen and hats are always a good start!

Can I photograph the action?

If you're hoping to capture a few memories on film (or a digital memory card, more precisely), then the good news is that yes, you can take cameras for personal use along with you. Binoculars are also welcome.

Can I bring my scanner?

Can I just get a day pass?


Tickets for all areas are available for full weekend with access on Saturday and Sunday. However Race Day tickets (Sunday) are available for General Admission and Reserved Seating only.

Will there be any disabled car parking or assistance for walking from the car parking to the venue?


Yes, and yes. For fans that have difficulty walking from the parking to the venue, golf cart fan assistance is available from outside gates 3, 5 and 6. If you need more info or further assistance, then call TMS on 001 (817) 215-8500.

There is a Military discount available - book directly with TMS by calling (817) 215-8500 The grandstands are strictly no smoking zones, although smoking is permitted in the concourse area.

When do the gates open?

Gates open on Saturday and Sunday at 09:00 for Reserved Seating and General Admission. 

Hospitality guests can enter the venue at 09:00, but will only be able to access their respective areas after the official hospitality doors open at 11:00. 

Can I do a hangar walk or access a hangar viewing area?

Both hospitality guests and Reserved Seating ticket holders may have the opportunity to take a closer look at the planes in the hangar viewing area, a few feet in front of the race hangars. The grassy area in front of the hangars can be accessed all day by the hospitality guests and Reserved Seating ticket holders between

The hospitality hangar walk offers hospitality guests the unique opportunity to get even closer and allows access to the Hangar area, as well as the rare opportunity to meet selected Master Class Pilots and their technicians.
