The Challenger Cup 2016 was decided at the last race of the year at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where due to strong gusting winds on Race Day, the winner-takes-all round was cancelled. The final standings were based on the top three results of the Challenger pilots from the entire 2016 season and it was Germany's Florian Berger who scored 28 points, with wins at both the Spielberg and Lausitz rounds.
