Social Bites: studying Spielberg

After leaving the green heart of Austria the pilots reflect on an amazing race

Paul Bonhomme was first to congratulate Matt Hall

Spielberg provided one of the most exciting races the Red Bull Air Race World Championship has ever seen. There was heartbreak for Hannes Arch, heroics from Matt Hall, and everything in between. After the racing was over, the teams took to social for the final word:

Matt Hall was understandably thrilled to finally claim his first race win. He'd been waiting all season and was over the moon...

Hannes Arch was hugely disappointed with his Safety Climb Out in the Round of 14 and was quick to thank his fans for their encouragement...

Paul Bonhomme was the first to step up and congratulate Matt Hall on his win, but will be looking towards the US now...

Matthias Dolderer has said that Spielberg was his home race – his fans certainly played their part...

After suffering from technical problems in Spielberg, Michael Goulian was very philosophical and looked ahead to the final two rounds...

Nigel Lamb was humble in his assessment of the race and his season so far...

Pete McLeod put his Ascot disappointment behind him and was happy with his Spielberg result...

And Martin Sonka, also saw Spielberg as his home race and thanked all those that cheered him on...
