Thrilling San Diego result in Virtual Championship

Round two was as exciting as the real thing

Virtual San Diego

The Virtual World Championship is proving to be as exhilarating as the real championship after round two. Gamers who downloaded Red Bull Air Race – 2, the mobile game, went head to head last week in an attempt to be crowned the king or queen of San Diego.

The gamers took to the racetrack that closely resembled the course the Master Class pilots of the Red Bull Air Race recently flew. More than 1600 pilots took part in the San Diego round and the race was won by hbk23henry from Ecuador. Hbk23henry crossed the virtual Start/Finish Gate with a time of 36.794s. Second place went to Bella-Gracia-27 (a 2016 finalist), who was just 0.050s behind. In third place was Werner Pany, the 2016 Virtual World Champion, who could only post a time of 36,858s. And fourth place went to PlayinPilot.

Winners of each round of the Virtual World Championship will be invited to the season finale to see who will be crowned the 2017 champion. If you think you've got what it takes download Red Bull Air Race – 2 and get training, the Chiba round will be here before you know it.
